Cañete Court Orders Provisional Confinement for Last Detainee in Grollmus Mill Attack
The Cañete Guarantee Court ordered the provisional confinement of S.R.P., 18 years old, the last detainee in the investigation of the attack on the Grollmus Mill, which occurred in August 2022 in Contulmo, in the Bío Bío region.
Recall that the individual was apprehended by the PDI early this Wednesday, October 8, in the Tranguilboro area of the Cañete municipality.
Although all other detainees were placed under the precautionary measure of preventive detention, the case of the minor, also a member of the Lafkenche Resistance (RML), is different, as he was only 16 years old at the time of the attack.
Given this context, the court opted to issue the measure of provisional confinement, which must begin as soon as possible.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that, to date, 20 people have been detained in connection with the investigation of the attack.
The last of them was Gerson Alejandro Luengo Navarrete, who was placed in preventive detention for four counts of attempted qualified homicide, four counts of arson, two counts of robbery with violence, illegal possession of firearms, and unjustified shootings in public areas.
