On Thursday afternoon, a violent incident disrupted the R-330 route near Angol, where a forestry truck was intercepted and burned by armed individuals.

The Special Police Investigations and Anti-Kidnapping Brigade of Angol, in collaboration with the Regional Criminalistics Laboratory of Temuco, is conducting the relevant investigations to clarify the facts and locate those responsible for this alleged arson attack.

Around 4:45 PM, four subjects with covered faces and armed forced the truck driver to stop and then set the vehicle on fire. Despite the violence of the act, no injuries were reported. The attackers fled, and their whereabouts remain unknown at this time.

At the scene, ballistic evidence was collected and is being analyzed by experts from the Criminalistics Laboratory. No messages or symbols were found that could indicate the attackers' affiliation with any particular group. The Local Prosecutor's Office of Collipulli and the PDI (Investigations Police) continue with the procedures to determine the exact sequence of events and locate the perpetrators of the attack.

Sebastián Naveillán, president of the Malleco Farmers Association, expressed concern about the recurrence of these acts in the rural area, noting the constant presence of groups that compromise security in the province of Malleco.

The local community and authorities remain alert as the investigation progresses. This incident highlights the need for more effective security measures in the region to protect workers and industries affected by violence.
