Two trucks from companies providing services to Forestal Arauco were stolen at gunpoint at one of the access points to the commune of Angol, in the La Araucanía region.

Three individuals carrying long weapons approached workers who were next to both vehicles, which were also carrying additional fuel tanks for forestry operations.

The incident occurred on the morning of this Tuesday, at the Huequén roundabout accessing the city of Angol, when workers from the service company Molino y Sol, which provides services to Forestal Arauco, were parked having breakfast.

Suddenly, a white double-cab truck arrived at the scene, from which at least three armed men got out, who, after intimidating the workers, stole the two trucks and fled.

Police investigations allowed the external fuel tanks to be found empty in the afternoon, along with the white truck in which the assailants arrived, which was confirmed to have been reported stolen.

The police search for the two stolen trucks, Toyota Hilux model, remains ongoing, with anticipation that the stolen vehicles have satellite tracking devices.

At the moment, despite repeated inquiries from Radio Bío Bío, neither the police nor the Government have commented on the case.
