With enthusiasm, expectations, and new development opportunities, the new students began their academic year at the CMPC Duoc UC Nacimiento Campus, consolidating this educational space as a concrete alternative for quality technical training for young people from Nacimiento and nearby communities.

During the start of the academic year, students participated in welcome activities, induction sessions, and meetings with their educational communities, marking the beginning of a stage focused on technical training, skill development, and connection with the working world.

The campus currently offers the following programs: Technician in Administration (Day/Evening); Technician in Logistics Management (Evening); Technician in Electricity and Industrial Automation (Day DUAL/Evening); Technician in Industrial Maintenance (Day DUAL/Evening); Technician in Nursing (Day); and Programmer Analyst (Day)—training programs designed to meet the specific needs of the territory and the local labor market.

Benjamín Burgos comes from Renaico and enrolled in Technician in Nursing. About his first days on campus, he commented, “It’s an institution that offers many benefits to students and is close for me to come and study. I liked the program, the people, the atmosphere, everything.”

Paulina Torres, who lives in Rihue, Negrete commune, is studying Technician in Business Administration. She described her experience as “spectacular, because before you had to go out to study elsewhere. Now everything is closer, plus it’s beautiful, super cozy, everything clean, I love it.”

New Cycle

Pablo Briones, director of the CMPC – Duoc UC Nacimiento Campus, highlighted the value of this new academic cycle for the educational community: “Welcoming these 242 students is a great joy and also a great responsibility. As a campus, we aim to deliver excellent technical training, focused on people, skill development, and connection with the productive environment. We want every student who enters here to have the tools to build a life project and contribute to their community’s development, because our purpose is to train people for a better society.”

For his part, Cristian Cuitiño, deputy manager of Industry Relations at CMPC, noted that the arrival of a new generation of students reaffirms the impact this educational project has on the community: “It fills us with pride to see how each year more young people begin their training at the CMPC Duoc UC Nacimiento Campus. This project was born with the goal of bringing real higher education opportunities to the territories where we are present, allowing students to train near their homes, with their families, and at a high-quality institution like Duoc UC. We know that the future technicians who will contribute to the region’s development are being trained here.”

With this new academic start, the CMPC Duoc UC Nacimiento Campus continues to consolidate itself as a relevant technical training hub for the Biobío Province, generating concrete opportunities for young people to study, grow, and plan their future without having to leave their territory.

It is worth noting that enrollment remains open until March 31. Inquiries can be made via WhatsApp at +56 9 4818 9482, through the Instagram account “Duoc Campus Nacimiento,” or in person on the first floor of the building (Avenida Julio Hemmelmann 200).
