The Mulchén Fire Department reported that its Forest Group officially obtained the Forest Accreditation granted by the National Fire Operations System of Chile, becoming the first fire department in the province of Biobío to achieve this certification.

The institution detailed that the process included various evaluation sessions, in which volunteers specialized in forest firefighting participated.

OPERATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EVALUATION

According to information provided by the Mulchén Fire Department through its official channels, the accreditation positions the institution as the third fire department in the Biobío region and the 15th nationwide to obtain this operational recognition.

"With immense pride and emotion, we report that our forest team has officially achieved the long-awaited Forest Accreditation, becoming the first Fire Department in the Province, the third in the region, and the 15th nationwide to reach this important operational recognition," they stated.

From the institution, they explained that during the accreditation process, volunteers had to face technical, logistical, operational, and physical condition tests, simulating various scenarios associated with forest fires.

The evaluations were supervised by the National Fire Operations System of Chile (SNO).

AUTONOMOUS DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY

Mulchén Firefighters indicated that the accreditation validates the team's level of preparation and response to this type of contingency.

"This important milestone certifies that our Forest Group has the necessary capabilities to mobilize autonomously in forest emergencies when the National Operations System requires it," they added.

Along with this, the institution congratulated the members of the forest group and those who participated in the preparation and evaluation process carried out over the past few weeks.
