At the Collipulli Guarantee Court, the individuals detained this Wednesday during the mega-operation carried out in the Temucuicui community, in the La Araucanía region, were formalized. Of the 5 apprehended, one was placed in pretrial detention.
After granting the request of prosecutor Carlos Bustos, Judge María Fernanda Lagos ordered the maximum precautionary measure against an 18-year-old young man, who was formalized for the crimes of unjustified shootings, arson, and repeated robbery with violence.
The individual was arrested along with 4 other people early this morning in a vast operation carried out by personnel from Carabineros' Public Order Control (COP) and the Army inside the autonomous community of Temucuicui.
In this way, prosecutor Carlos Bustos also formalized the parents of this young man for the repeated crime of receiving a motor vehicle.
Although the prosecutor requested the precautionary measure of pretrial detention, the court only imposed the precautionary measure of nighttime house arrest on these two individuals.
Meanwhile, a two-month investigation period was established for the Prosecutor's Office to carry out the corresponding procedures.
