The forestry company Arauco, linked to the Angelini group, plans to place on October 1 a "sustainable hybrid local bond" for an estimated amount of between 7 million and 10 million UF, that is, between US$ 300 million and US$ 427 million.

The use of the funds is for "general corporate purposes of the issuer and/or its subsidiaries," states the presentation of the road show for this operation.

Arauco is engaged in the construction of the Sucuriú cellulose project in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, which contemplates an investment of US$ 4.6 billion and a production capacity of 3.5 million tons. The initiative is 78% complete.

In October 2025, Arauco placed a corporate bond for US$ 844 million. Other actions to strengthen its finances were a capital increase and sales of forestry assets.
