5 people arrested for timber theft in La Unión

During the afternoon of this Monday, May 29, personnel from the Carabineros of the Catamutún Outpost managed to detain 5 adults who were extracting wood from a property in La Unión.

The incident occurred in the rural area of Centinela on a forestry property when the individuals were caught committing the crime. In response, the uniformed police arrested the suspects and seized a chainsaw and the truck used in the theft.

The individuals were placed at the disposal of the judiciary.
