Mechanized harvesting on sloped terrain represents one of the greatest challenges for the forestry industry, requiring equipment capable of operating safely, efficiently, and with high performance in extreme conditions. To meet this need, Latin Equipment Chile SpA offers a comprehensive solution composed of the Tigercat LS857 shovel logger, the 625H 6x6 skidder, and the Tigercat 120 assist winch, designed to maximize productivity in highly complex forestry operations.
The combination of these three machines incorporates innovation, robustness, and state-of-the-art technology, enabling optimization of harvesting and timber extraction operations on hard-to-access terrain.
Leveling and rotation
The LS857 shovel logger stands out for its exclusive leveling and rotation system, which allows it to operate with great stability on steep slopes. Equipped, in most cases, with the FD5195 directional felling head, it is capable of performing felling and shoveling of large trees with high levels of precision and safety.
In addition, its boom with a reach of over 10 meters facilitates the bunching of trees on complex terrain, leaving them ready to be extracted by the skidder. This capability allows for optimizing productivity and operational safety on slopes of up to 100%, especially when working in conjunction with cable assist equipment such as the Tigercat 120.
For its part, the Tigercat 625H 6x6 skidder offers the ideal combination of power, stability, and mobility for skidding operations. With an operating weight of 22,950 kilograms and the possibility of being equipped with a grapple of up to 1.95 m², it delivers reliable and efficient performance in the most demanding conditions. Tigercat's H series is the result of decades of development and innovation, establishing itself as a benchmark in mechanized forestry extraction.
New design
Both the LS857 and the 625H are prepared to operate alongside the Tigercat 120 assist winch. This new design improves working angularity, expands the operating range, and increases the efficiency of operations on sloped terrain, providing an important additional level of safety for operators.
Added to this is the incorporation of an integrated telemetry system in Tigercat harvesting equipment, which allows real-time monitoring of machine location, fuel consumption, and other key indicators to optimize fleet management and performance.
As the official representative of Tigercat in Chile, Latin Equipment Chile SpA complements this proposal with on-site training delivered by specialized instructors, ensuring that each machine enters operation under the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and productivity. Likewise, the company has specialized technical service, spare parts availability, and ongoing advisory support for its clients.
