With the aim of promoting the modernization and sustainability of the construction sector, Corfo launched a new training program that will provide 200 scholarships to train professionals and technicians in Modern Methods of Sustainable Wood-Based Construction (MMC) in the regions of Maule, Ñuble, Biobío and La Araucanía.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the capacities of specialized human capital and accelerate the adoption of industrialized construction systems, a trend that is transforming the industry thanks to its advantages in productivity, sustainability and efficiency.
The program includes a curriculum of 116 chronological hours, distributed over a period of six to seven months, through a blended modality that will combine online training and in-person practical activities. Participants will develop applied competencies in three strategic areas: early coordination, integrated design and management of industrialized construction processes.
In this regard, Juan Francisco Montes, Territorial Development Manager of Corfo, highlighted that "one of the main priorities of this program is to contribute to closing the training and technical experience gaps detected in the sector. Therefore, the 200 spots will be distributed equally among Maule, Ñuble, Biobío and La Araucanía, with 50 scholarships for each region, also incorporating gender equity criteria that promote greater participation of women in industrialized construction," he assured.
To facilitate access to training, classes will be taught under a flexible modality composed of 60% synchronous online sessions, 20% asynchronous autonomous work and 20% practical activities in the field. The latter will be developed in person in each of the beneficiary regions.
"From Corfo Maule we are promoting this initiative because we believe that sustainable wood construction represents a great opportunity for the productive development of the Maule Region. These 50 available scholarships will allow professionals and technicians to acquire cutting-edge knowledge and tools in modern construction methods, strengthening local capacities in an industry that increasingly demands innovation, productivity and sustainability. We invite all interested persons to apply and take advantage of this specialized training opportunity, which will contribute to generating better projects, more competitiveness and more sustainable development for our territories," emphasized the Regional Director (s) of Corfo Maule, Pablo Elvenberg.
This initiative seeks to transform the wood-based construction industry through the training of advanced human capital, promoting efficient, sustainable practices aligned with the country's modernization demands.
Applications will be available until 3:00 p.m. next Friday, November 20, and all information about the admission requirements is available at the following link: https://www.corfo.cl/sites/becascapitalhumano/home
