During the early hours of this Thursday, four burned vehicles were the result of an arson attack reported in Collipulli, La Araucanía region. A video shows the attackers' swift actions.

According to preliminary information from Radio Bío Bío, unknown individuals entered the parking lot of the forestry company Safco, where they attacked offices and burned trucks, then fled in an unknown direction.

At the scene, they left a banner alluding to the Mapuche cause. "Do not touch our pichikeche (children). Murderous Pako. LPPM."

In a recording accessed by Bío Bío, it can be seen how the individuals, aboard a truck, arrived around 5:40 a.m. at the affected company.

Following that, after igniting and attacking other trucks and offices, two individuals break the windows of the last vehicle set on fire. Then, they spray flammable liquid to finally set it on fire and flee the scene.

Victim's account

One of those affected, Yassna Navarrete, asked for more support and pleaded not to be forgotten. "Once again, we are prey, as a family, to terrorist attacks, in this same city, in Collipulli. But now they have changed the slogan. It is no longer the supposed and false Mapuche cause, now today it is the children," said the affected woman.

"Let me tell you that this is a communication strategy they are adopting, but a child does not cause the harm that you do. A child is innocent, a child does not live their whole life with resentment. You will not appropriate what is most important to us as a society, which are our children," she added.

"That is why we ask the Government to please take charge once and for all of the siege that hardworking and sacrificing people like us endure. Do not forget us," the woman concluded.
