With the aim of strengthening technical cooperation between the National Forest Corporation (Conaf) and the National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor) of Peru, a delegation from the Forest and Climate Change Management traveled to the neighboring country. The meeting sought to consolidate a strategic forest alliance that promotes public policies focused on developing a sustainable economy.

"This technical exchange allowed us to meet with different actors in the forestry sector in Peru, as well as visit plantations and processing plants to learn firsthand about their experiences in sustainable timber use," highlighted Luis Gianelli, head of Conaf's Forest Management Department.

Through this initiative, both institutions strengthened their capacities in key areas such as: forest plantations, financing mechanisms, strategic information management, nurseries, urban arborization, and forest governance.

These joint efforts not only enhance the sustainable development of forest resources in the region but also contribute to consolidating a more competitive forest economy.
