Three men, aged 35, 37, and 40, were arrested by personnel from the Chiloé Police Station of Carabineros, after being caught transporting native mañío wood without the documentation to prove its origin.

The procedure began following a phone report that alerted about the alleged theft of wood from a private property located in the Taiquemo area.

After receiving the notice, police personnel went to the location and inspected a truck inside which the three individuals were found, along with various pieces of native wood.

During the inspection, Carabineros confirmed that the occupants of the vehicle did not have a dispatch guide or other documents that would prove the extraction and origin of the wood, which is why they proceeded with their arrest.

The three individuals involved are of Chilean nationality and, according to police records, none had pending judicial orders.
