Arauco closed the first nine months of 2026 with positive results, reaching profits of US$99 million, in contrast to the losses of US$10.3 million recorded during the same period of 2025. The recovery was driven by better price conditions in the international pulp market and higher sales volume.

The forestry company, a subsidiary of Empresas Copec and controlled by the Angelini group, obtained earnings of US$27.7 million between July and September, reversing the negative result of US$215 thousand recorded in the same quarter last year. In that period, its revenues reached US$1.6 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 6%.

In the accumulated balance through September, revenue reached US$4.681 billion, with an increase of 2.5% compared to 2025. According to what the company reported to the Financial Market Commission (CMF), the increase in quarterly revenues was mainly due to better sales prices, while the accumulated result was explained by higher volumes sold.

The international scenario, however, presented differences between markets. In China, the industry faced weakened demand in the printing and writing paper segments, along with an oversupply that kept pressure on prices. In Europe, lower paper demand and high energy and transportation costs also conditioned the performance of tissue producers.

Regarding raw materials, global pulp inventories increased during the third quarter, mainly due to the increase in short fiber. However, toward the end of the period, price increases were observed, while long fiber showed more stable behavior. For its part, textile pulp maintained solid demand and recorded price increases toward the end of September.
