For the fifth consecutive year, Arauco will be a strategic partner of Rally Chile Biobío 2026, a competition that between September 10 and 13 will bring top-tier international drivers and teams to the forest roads of the Biobío Region.
Arauco's fifth consecutive participation as a strategic partner once again places one of the region's main assets at the center of the competition: its landscapes and forest roads. But behind the routes that will capture the attention of rally fans for four days, there is ongoing conservation, maintenance, and protection work carried out throughout the year.
It is the forest firefighters who know and traverse these territories long before the competition vehicles arrive. A relationship with the land that Arauco seeks to highlight during this new edition of the championship.
"For us, it is a pride to open our forest heritage to the world and demonstrate that sports development, community, and nature can coexist. That contribution translates into concrete actions, such as planting native trees, and is sustained by people: our forest firefighters, who respond with the same energy and precision as an elite driver," said Charles Kimber, Corporate Manager of People and Sustainability at Arauco.
A contribution that transcends the competition
The company's commitment to the territory will also be expressed this year through the delivery of 12 thousand native trees, considering both the world date and national rally competitions. With this contribution, added to the specimens delivered in 2024 and 2025, Arauco will reach nearly 30 thousand native trees donated over three seasons.
Environmental protection during the competition also includes measures implemented by Bioforest, Arauco's Research and Development center. These include protocols for safeguarding flora and fauna, on-site monitoring, and the presence of wildlife guards during the development of activities.
This relationship with communities extends throughout the year through Bosque Abierto, a program that has developed more than 850 educational, recreational, and community activities, bringing together more than 295 thousand people in the company's forest heritage.
Biobío once again on the world stage
Official activities will begin on Thursday, September 10, with the traditional ceremonial start at Plaza Independencia in Concepción. This will be joined by the Rally Village, a space for fans and the community, which will be set up on an Arauco property.
Thus, for four days, the forest roads of Biobío will once again become the stage for a globally reaching competition. An international showcase for the region that, at the same time, seeks to highlight the daily work of those who know, maintain, and protect these territories throughout the 365 days of the year.
